How long does it take to complete a Moderate level Vocational Assessment? Four to five hours, depending on how the individual works.
How long does it take to complete a Comprehensive level Vocational Assessment? This is generally a three-day (consecutive) process. The individual comes to Ripp Rehab, Inc. the first day for approximately six hours. The individual then attends the worksite to perform eight hours of work for four hours on day two and day three.
Why would someone participate in a Comprehensive Evaluation rather than a Moderate level Evaluation? The comprehensive assessment is appropriate for individuals who may not have worked in the past or who may not have worked for an extended period of time. It will assess stamina, endurance, the ability to attend work on a daily basis, the ability to interact with co-workers and supervisors in an actual employment setting, etc.
How long does it take to receive the results of the evaluation? It depends on the referral source. The reports are typically generated in one week or less and then sent to the referral source. If the referral source is DES, Vocational Rehabilitation, the report needs to go through a processing department before the counselor receives it, which could take several more days.
Can the evaluations be conducted outside of the Tempe office of Ripp Rehab, Inc.? Yes, depending on the level of the assessment. The first day of all Comprehensive Assessments is at the Tempe office due to the need for the additional work sampling. Moderate level Assessments can be performed at other locations throughout the Phoenix Metropolitan area.
